Program Overview
The RN to BSN program is a fully online, 30-credit-hour path for registered nurses with an associate degree who want to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- For registered nurses with an associate degree in nursing (ADN) — 30 credit hours, delivered entirely online
- Individual practicum experiences are completed in your own community throughout the program
- Requires about 59 hours of prerequisites first — humanities plus biological, physical and behavioral sciences
- All coursework, including nursing courses, must be earned from a regionally accredited institution
- Admission in spring and summer terms; complete in three or four semesters depending on your entry term
- Requires a current, unencumbered RN license, or licensure by the end of your first term
- New ADN graduates may apply but must pass the NCLEX by the end of the first term
- LVN-to-RN, paramedic bridge and diploma-program graduates need at least 35 transferable nursing credits
- Relocating to another state during the program may prevent completion of practicum courses, under other states' board of nursing rules
