AMEDD Enlisted Commissioning Program
The College of Nursing's Bachelor of Science in Nursing meets the U.S. Army's requirements for the AMEDD Enlisted Commissioning Program (AECP). Military students in the program are placed at our Round Rock site.
Early Acceptance Requirements and Deadlines
To be considered for an early Unconditional/Conditional Letter of Acceptance, soldiers must meet these requirements and deadlines.
- Complete a request for transcript evaluation by March 15
- Complete at least 40 of the 59 required prerequisite hours, including 12 nursing-science hours (general psychology, lifespan psychology, statistics, chemistry, anatomy & physiology, microbiology)
- Prerequisite and nursing-science GPA of 3.4 or higher
- Cumulative HESI score of 88 or higher, with at least 75 on each required section, submitted by March 15
- Complete a Kira Talent interview as requested
- Packets submitted to the AMEDD Review Board in August must have a complete application on file (transcript evaluations and HESI scores by March 15) reviewed by the college no later than April 1; missing this defers the application to the next fiscal year
